The first goal by Macy Freeman sailed in from outside the 18, while the 2nd one (which put LV up 2-1) snuck in up close. Elizabeth Huggler and Miranda Long led the defensive effort tonight, while Marta Blanc and Katheryn Harcek supported Freeman offensively.
At the earlier contest between the Falcons and the Rams, Montrose won 2-1.

Senior Katheryn Harcek scored the lone goal as she dribbled up from the half from her defensive position; she posted 7 blocks for the night.
Emma Cavalieri was in net for the Falcons with 5 saves in the first half and 8 saves in the 2nd half. Macy Freeman led the offense with 5 shots on net, while Noelle Marshall led the defense with 10 blocks.

Keeper Emma Cavalieri had 15 saves in the first half; 3 saves in the 2nd half. Marta Blanc and Macy Freeman each had 4 shots on net along with a shot from Amanda Allen that almost dribbled past the Byron keeper. Centerback Elizabeth Huggler and defensive wing Noelle Marshall continued to be the leaders on the defensive line.

Sophomore Marta Blanc was aggressive offensively with 5 shots on net. Noelle Marshall led the defensive line with 5 blocks. The LakeVille team chose to play one person down as Genesee only had 10 players, so it was a 10v10 game with lots of touches on the ball.

Emma Cavalieri was in net; her defense did their job resulting in only 1 save to her credit.
Defensively, Noelle Marshall led the way with 18 blocks at center defense, followed by Elizabeth Huggler with 11 and defensive wing Hannah Ladd with 9.
The LakeVille soccer program was proud to recognize two local businesses for their support of soccer in the community: Otisville Subway and Columbiaville's Village Station. Both businesses have cheerfully provided food to countless soccer players at the recreational youth level and for the high school varsity teams. The LakeVille boys' soccer coach, Krista Daniels, recognized Subway owner Deborah Schultz-Pawlosky for her willingness to help with athlete and student functions. Village Station also received a plaque from the soccer program, noting their support of LakeVille Community Soccer; it was received by senior Charleze Oliver who works at Village Station.

Offensive charge led by Marta Blanc with 2 shots on net, with additional shots by Katheryn Harcek, Stephanie Erwin, and Ana Defeyter.
Defensively, SkyLynn Sierakowski led with 9 blocks at center defense followed by center back Elizabeth Huggler with 7 blocks, and 4 blocks from freshman and left defensive wing Tori Cargill.
Next week, we host Durand on Tuesday where two local businesses, Otisville's Subway and Columbiaville's Village Station, will be recognized for their contributions to the soccer program. LV plays away at Genesee on Wednesday.

LV had a first time goalie with 18 saves, Emma Cavalieri. 9 saves each half. Her first time in net and in playing soccer. She's an exchange student from Italy.
Macy Freeman led the offensive push with 9 shots on net. Elizabeth Huggler and Noelle Marshall each had 12 blocks as center defense.

The LakeVille Lady Falcons took on the Millington Cardinals in a soccer game on Friday in between bouts of hail and down pours. Although Millington got the first goal, LV responded with a goal from sophomore Macy Freeman. LakeVille took the lead as senior Katheryn Harcek received the ball from Freeman at the half line and dribbled up to the 18 before sinking it into the net. Halftime ended with a score of 2-2. Freshman SkyLynn Sierakowski saved 19 shots on the net in her first varsity soccer game. LakeVille's Freeman scored again in the second half but so did Millington. Junior Elizabeth Huggler held the young Falcon defensive line, demonstrating her captain's skill of communication. The game ended 3-3. LakeVille soccer is busy this upcoming week with home games on Monday, Tuesday, and away at Montrose on Thursday.
